Configure > Credit Type

Credit types enable you to define types of credits that will be used in calculation and reporting.  The credit types companies create are typically determined by the plan components, types of transactions needed to qualify an order for commission or by reporting groups.

The credit types you define in this area appear in various lists throughout the application when creating formulas, lookup tables, conditions in rules and report customizations.

ClearBecomes active when clicking a line item in the result list. Allows you to clear the fields of a credit type.
ResetBecomes active when clicking on a line item in the results list. Allows you to reset the fields populated in the credit type.
DeleteBecomes active when clicking a line item in the results list. Allows you to delete the credit type from the application. Note: You cannot delete a credit type that is being used in the application.
AuditDisplays after clicking a line item and clicking Audit. Shows a log of changes to the credit type selected from the list.

How to for Common Tasks…

This section describes the tasks you can perform when managing credit types.

Create a Credit Type

  1. Click the Setup tab, then click Configure in the secondary menu and select Credit Type from the drop-down menu. The Credit Type screen appears.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. In the Name* field, type the name of the credit type.
  4. In the Description field, type a description for the credit type.  For example, you may enter Used for tracking Services credits as a credit type you would use when adding conditions for calculation.
  5. Click the Save button. The newly-created credit type appears in the results pane.

Edit a Credit Type

note: You cannot edit a credit type name.

  1. Click on a credit type from the list in the results pane.
  2. Modify the description that require changes.
  3. Click the Save button.

Delete an Credit Type

note: You cannot delete a credit type that is being used in a transaction in the application.

  1. Click the credit type from the list in the results pane.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. A message appears asking “Do you really want to delete the selected item?”.
  4. Click the Delete button to confirm the deletion, or click the Cancel button to cancel the action.
