Accessing Connect via the New API Gateway

Developers can access Xactly Connect data services by using Xactly’s ODBC driver with a number of third party ODBC compliant database access tools. Connect services can also be used directly through Connect’s REST APIs. In either usage model, developers must first configure a URL for the appropriate environment hosting the Connect services.

Xactly recently made changes to these URLs to take advantage of the Xactly API Gateway. The API Gateway is a secure and highly available way for customers and partners to access all of Xactly APIs, including the Connect APIs.

As of the October 2016 release, Xactly Connect REST APIs were made accessible through the following URLs based on the desired environment. ODBC users can begin using the new URLs after the ODBC driver 1.1.7 is released on February 17th, 2017.

Contact Xactly Support to begin using the API Gateway URLs and to obtain the ODBC driver 1.1.7 (once available in February). The support team will register your company to have access through the API Gateway and provide you with several pieces of mandatory information needed for authentication.

The 1.0.5 version of the ODBC driver and the legacy URLs (not listed) will continue to work until the April 21st, 2017 release. After that, only the new Connect URLs will be supported, and ODBC driver version 1.1.7 or higher will be mandatory.
