Configure > Unit Type
You can use the Unit Types area to create additional currencies in Xactly Incent. The currencies you define in this area appear in various drop-down lists throughout the application.

The following table describes the information you can specify when managing unit types
Field | Description |
---|---|
Unit Type Name | The name of the unit type. |
Display Symbol | The display symbol for the unit type. For example, you could use USD for US dollars and CAD for Canadian dollars. |
Group | The group to which the unit type belongs, from among the following: • CURRENCY • NUMBER • QUANTITY • PERCENT • POINT |
Number Format | The format of the number. |
Description | A description of the unit type. |

This section describes the tasks you can perform when managing unit types.
Create a Unit Type
1. Click the Setup tab, then click Configure in the secondary menu and select Unit Type from the drop-down menu. The Unit Type screen appears.
2. Click the New button.
3. In the Unit Type Name* field, type the name of the unit type.
4. in the Display Symbol* field, type a display symbol for the unit type. For example, you could use USD for US dollars and CAD for Canadian dollars.
5. In the Group* field, choose the group to which the unit type belongs using the drop-down list. You can choose from among the following groups:
• Currency
• Number
• Quantity
• Percent
• Points
6. In the Number Format* field, choose a format using the drop-down list. This is the format in which the unit type is displayed. You can choose from among the following formats:
• English (United States)
• English (Canada)
• French (Canada)
• English (United Kingdom)
• French (France)
• German (Germany)
• Italian (Italy)
• Chinese
• English (India)
7. (Optional) In the Description field, type a description of the unit type.
8. Click the Save button. The newly-created unit type appears in the results pane.
Edit a Unit Type
note: You cannot change the unit type name after it is saved.
1. Select a unit type from the list in the results pane.
2. Modify the fields that require changes.
3. Click the Save button.
Delete a Unit Type
note: You cannot delete a unit type that is being used as a currency in the application.
1. Select a unit type from the list in the results pane.
2. Click the Delete button. A message appears asking “Do you really want to delete the selected item?”.
3. Click the OK button to confirm the deletion, or click the Cancel button to cancel the action.
