Credit Assignment Setup Introduction

You can use the Setup area to manage roles, and assign users to roles, in Xactly Credit
Assignment. Roles define access privileges within the application, allowing you to
grant full access, read-only access, or no access to users, as required.
note: Roles within Xactly Credit Assignment are independent of roles assigned within
Xactly Incent.

You can further use the Setup area to define mappings between order attributes and
dimensions that you create in the Territory Management area. This allows you to build
dimension and territory rules to automate the credit assignment process.
Finally, you can use the Setup area to define custom fields for orders and territories.
Order custom fields allow you to mirror the order data that you process using Xactly
Incent. Territory custom fields, in contrast, are purely for informational and reporting
purposes (and not used during the credit assignment process).

What You Can Do

You can complete the following tasks in the Setup area:

• Search and manage roles (in the Credit Assignment application)
• Search and download users
• Assign roles to users
• Search and manage order custom fields
• Search and manage mappings between orders and dimensions
• Search and manage territory custom fields
• Download user data

Access Control

You need the User/Role privilege (set in the Setup > Roles area) to access and manage
users and roles in the Setup area.
