How to…

This section describes the tasks you can perform when configuring estimator integration.

Customize Salesforce Estimator Integration

1. Click Setup > Customize > Estimator Integration. The Estimator Integration screen appears.

2. In Step 1 of 4, choose Salesforce using the Application drop-down list.

3. Click Connect to open the following window to connect to the latest list of objects and fields from Salesforce, which will remain in Xactly Incent until you update the information again through this window.

Connect to Salesforce Window

4. Enter a password, and click Connect. This connects you back to the Incentive Estimator screen:

5. In Step 2 of 4, select the object to map to Incentive Estimator.

6. Select the object fields you want to map to Xactly Order fields, and drag and drop them from the Available Object Fields column next to the appropriate Xactly Order field in the left column.
note: Both the name of the object, as well as its ID number, are associated with the field when you map an available object. Users will see names, rather than numbers, when these objects are shown in the application.

7. In Step 3: of 4, specify the estimator results display options.

The estimator results display option applies to both Incent Estimator and the Estimator page within Salesforce. You can select from among the following options:

• Display results at the Opportunity level only—Displays Opportunity-level data only, even if product-level details are available.
• Display results at the Opportunity product level (if available)—Displays product-level details, as a table, if this information is available. If product-level details are unavailable, Incent displays Opportunity-level data only.

8. In Step 4 of 4, specify the opportunities to import.
You can select from among the following options (as allowed by the security settings in Salesforce.com):

• Import Only My Opportunities—Import opportunities owned by the current user.
• Import All Opportunities—Import opportunities accessible by the current user through the current Salesforce security configuration.

9. Click Save to save your changes.

Customize Oracle CRM Estimator Integration

1. Click Setup > Customize > Estimator Integration.

2. In Step 1, choose Oracle CRM using the Application drop-down list.

3. In Step 2, select the Estimator results display.

Choose from among the following:

• Display results at the Opportunity level only—Displays earning details at the opportunity level.
• Display results at the Opportunity product level (if available)—Displays earnings at the opportunity product line item level. If product line items are not available, earning details are shown at the base opportunity level.

note: If you choose to display results at the opportunity product level, you need to provide opportunity product revenue data fields in the data mapping file for Xactly Incent. If you choose to display results at the opportunity level only, you can choose to provide only opportunity data fields in the data mapping file.

4. (Optional) In Step 3, download and modify the mapping between Oracle CRM Opportunity and Xactly CompOrder fields.

Do the following:

a. Click the Click here link to download a template for the data mapping file.
b. Modify the template, as required.

Note the following:

• Xactly CompOrder Items highlighted in red are required.
• Use the following syntax when specifying Opportunity Product Level Fields:  <field_name>

Use field names exactly as they appear in the Oracle CRM WSDL version 2.0. You can optionally enter a specific value for an Opportunity Product Level Field, such as Revenue (when mapping to a CompOrder Order Type, for instance) or USD (when mapping to a CompOrder Amount UnitType, for example).

When using a specific value for an Opportunity Product Level Field, you can leave the Opportunity Product Level Object and Opportunity Product Level Field Type columns blank.

• In cases where there are no data mapping associations with a CompOrderItem field (as is the case with the Discount field, for example), leave the object, field, and field type columns blank.
• Add custom fields at the bottom of the template (replacing the CUSTOM_FIELD_1 entry). You can map as many custom fields as required. Specify CurrencyType as the Xactly Field Type for numeric custom fields.

You can determine Oracle CRM custom field information by logging into Oracle CRM On Demand as an administrator and clicking Admin > Application Customization > Opportunity (or Revenue) > Opportunity Field Setup (or Revenue Field Setup) > Rename Fields > Advanced.

• When adding an Xactly Incent custom currency field to the data mapping file, map the UnitType for the currency field to CurrencyType (for the Xactly Field Type).
• When adding an Oracle custom field to the data mapping file, you need to specify the field type. For custom string fields, always specify the field type as Text (Long).

note: If a custom field appears as both an Opportunity Level Field and Opportunity Product Level Field, you need to specify the following fields using the Opportunity Fields Set-up page in Oracle CRM: Opportunity Level Only Object, Opportunity Product Level Object, Opportunity Level Only Field Type, and Opportunity Product Level Field Type.

5. (Optional) In Step 3, upload the data mapping file that defines how data is mapped between Oracle CRM and Xactly Incent.
note: Incent uses the default mapping file if you choose not to upload a modified template.

Do the following:

a. Click the Browse button. The File Upload dialog appears.
b. Select the data mapping file, and click Open.
c. Click the Save button.

note: Due to a limitation in the Oracle CRM Web Services implementation, Xactly processes only the first 100 product lines for an Opportunity or the first 100 items when selecting multiple Opportunities.
