Welcome to Quota

Welcome to the Xactly Quota Reference Guide. Xactly Quota provides a set of tools
and features that makes it easy for administrators to create and manage quota plans
within an organization, providing managers the ability to quickly and easily set and
compare quota allocations for team members.

Using Xactly Quota, administrators can create and manage quota plans, submit plans
to managers, track plans that are overdue, as well as recall plans, as required.
This guide describes how administrators can use Xactly Quota to do the following:

• Display the quota plans defined in the organization (filtered by period)
• Check the status of plans
• Track plans that are overdue
• Create new quota plans
• Submit plans to managers
• Recall plans, as appropriate
• Download quota plans for use with Xactly Incent

Application Layout

The following shows the general layout of Xactly Quota:

Xactly Quota offers the following principal areas for administrators:

Dashboard—Use to display the allocation status of quota plans, the allocation
progress per user, and access the allocation page for each user
Plans—Use to define, manage, and download quota plans
Setup—Use to manage user roles and access to the application

Using Xactly Quota

Xactly Quota requires administrators to complete an initial setup procedure that specifies
the users of the application. After this initial setup, you can use the application to
create quota plans, submit them to managers, and monitor activity to ensure that
tasks are completed as required.

Setting Up Xactly Quota

Using Xactly Quota for the first time typically involves the following steps:

1. Log in to Incent as the business administrator.

2. Choose Quota using the Xactly application menu (at the top right of the
screen).

3. Set the roles for the users in your organization.
The available roles are Administrator, Executive, and Manager.

note: A user can be an administrator and executive or an administrator and manager,
but a user cannot be both an executive and a manager.

Managing Quota Plans

Managing quota plans involves monitoring and tracking existing quota plans, as
well as creating and submitting quota plans to managers, as appropriate.
Specifically, managing quota plans involves the following steps:

1. Log in to Incent as an administrator.

2. Choose Quota using the Xactly application menu (at the top right of the
screen).

3. Display and monitor the quota plans available within your organization.
