This section describes how to use Xactly Modeling.

Launch Modeling

  • Log in to Xactly Incent, click the  menu, and choose Modeling. The Modeling home page appears.

Note: All system-generated emails sent use a “From” address of “noreply@xactlycorp.com.”

Manage Downloads

You can use the Downloads area to display and access downloads created throughout Modeling.

1. Click the  button in the main menu (top right of the screen). The Downloads dialog appears.

2. To sort the columns, click theScreen Shot 2016-08-11 at 1.18.55 PM buttons to sort the corresponding columns either ascending or descending.

3. To find specific downloads, type part of the file name in the Search text box, and click the Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 1.19.33 PM button. The search results appear.

4. To filter downloads, select the appropriate status using the Download Status drop-down list.

You can filter downloads based on the following statuses:

• ALL
• COMPLETED
• IN PROGRESS
• FAILED

5. To copy a download to your local machine, click the Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 1.21.15 PMbutton corresponding to the download you need to copy.

Depending on your browser, a dialog might appear allowing you to specify where to save the file.

6. To delete a download, click the Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 1.21.25 PM button corresponding to the download you need to delete. The Confirm Delete dialog appears.

Click the buttonScreen Shot 2016-08-11 at 11.24.55 AM to delete the download. Alternatively, click the Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 11.10.33 AM button to cancel the operation without deleting the download.

7. Use the page navigation buttons to navigate between the pages of downloads.

Edit Your Profile

You can edit your Xactly profile, including changing your profile photo and signature, as needed.

1. Click the Welcome <Your Name> link, and choose Edit Profile in the drop-down menu. The Profile dialog appears.

2. To change your profile photo, click the Change photo button and choose one of the options in the drop-down menu.

To upload an image:

a. Choose Upload photo in the drop-down menu. Select the image in the dialog that appears. A new dialog then appears allowing you to crop the image to a standard size.
b. Use your mouse to crop the image, as required.
c. Click the Save Changes button to set the image as your profile photo. Alternatively, close the Close button to return to the Profile dialog without changing your photo.

To take a photo using a camera attached to your computer:

a. Choose Take Photo in the drop-down menu. A dialog appears allowing you to capture the image.
b. Click the Take Photo button. A dialog appears allowing you to crop the image to a standard size.
c. Use your mouse to crop the image, as required.
d. Click the Save Changes button to set the image as your profile photo. Alternatively, close the Close button to return to the Profile dialog without changing your photo.

3. To remove your profile photo, click the Change photo button and choose Remove photo in the drop-down menu. The photo is removed, replaced by the Xactly avatar.

4. In the Signature box, sign your name using either your mouse or a graphics tablet, if available.

This signature appears on plan documents and certification letters. Users see the signature when either accepting or declining these documents. Others see the signature only after the document has been accepted or declined. Click the Clear button to erase the Signature box and start again.

5. Click the Save Changes button to save your profile photo and signature. Alternatively, click the Cancel button to dismiss the Profile dialog without updating your profile.

Manage Your Password

You can manage your Xactly password, including changing your current password and modifying your challenge question, as needed.

A password must be 5 to 12 characters long, depending on your organization’s password policies, and can contain any combination of upper- and lowercase alphabetical or numeric characters.

1. Click the Welcome <Your Name>  link, and choose Manage Password in the drop-down menu. The Manage Password dialog appears.

2. In the Old Password field, type your existing password.

3. In the New Password field, type your new password.

note: The password cannot contain any part of the user name. Also, you cannot reuse any of your last 12 passwords.

4. In the Confirm New Password field, type your new password again.

5. In the Challenge Question field, choose your challenge question using the drop-down list.

6. In the Answer field, type your answer to the challenge question.

7. Click the Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 1.41.10 PM button. Alternatively, click theScreen Shot 2016-08-11 at 11.10.33 AM button to dismiss the dialog without saving your settings.

Change Your Preferences

You can change your application preferences, including setting your preferred date and number formats, time zone, and language.

note: Your changes take effect the next time you log in.

1. Click the Welcome<Your Name> link, and choose Change Preferences in the drop-down menu. The Change Preferences dialog appears.

2. In the Date Format field, choose the appropriate format using the drop-down list.
You can choose from among the following options:

note: The date format you set here is used in all date fields, including custom fields, in Xactly Modeling.

3. In the Number Format field, choose the appropriate format using the drop-down list.

note: The number format you set here is used in all currency fields, including custom fields, in Xactly Modeling.

4. In the Time Zone field, choose the appropriate time zone using the drop-down list.

5. (If available) In the Language field, choose the language in which the application should appear.

note: Only certain portions of the application are currently affected by the language setting. Also, administrators or business group administrators cannot change their language setting.

The available languages are specified using the BUSINESS_LANGUAGES_ACTIVE preference (in the Setup > Preferences area).

6. Click theScreen Shot 2016-08-11 at 1.41.10 PM button. Alternatively, click theScreen Shot 2016-08-11 at 11.10.33 AM button to dismiss the dialog without saving your settings.

Display Help

You can display the Xactly help documentation directly from the application.

• Click the Welcome <Your Name> link, and choose Help in the drop-down menu. The Xactly help documentation page appears.

Access Support

You can access the Xactly Customer Success Portal directly from the application.

• Click the Welcome <Your Name> link, and choose Support in the drop-down menu. The Xactly Customer Success Portal appears.

Display Information about Xactly Modeling

You can display information about Xactly Modeling, including the release version, privacy policy, security notice, and terms of use.

1. Click the Welcome <Your Name>  link, and choose About Xactly in the drop-down menu. The About Xactly dialog appears.

2. Click the Privacy Policy button. A new window appears showing the Xactly privacy policy.

3. Click the Security Notice button. A new window appears showing the Xactly security notices.

4. Click the Terms of Use button. A new window appears showing the Xactly Agreement Terms and Conditions.

5. Click the Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 2.21.38 PMbutton to dismiss the dialog.

Log Out From Modeling

• Click the Welcome <Your Name>  link, and choose Logout in the drop-down menu.
