Xactly Incent 2016-12 New Features

This article describes the new features available in Xactly Incent 2016-12, which include:

  • Plan Document Routing by Title and Position
  • Team Overview Pod Drill Down – View All Members on a Team
  • Additional End User Languages
  • New Proration Fields
  • Incent for Android – Native Mobile App in Beta

Plan Document Routing by Title and Position

Xactly Incent 2016-12 enhances plan document templates by including additional routing options. Currently, plan document templates can be associated with a plan. With Xactly Incent 2016-12, templates can now be assigned to a plan, a title, or a position, offering more specific assignment controls.

Administrators can specify this new setting when creating or editing a plan document template in the Document Mgmt > Templates > Plan Documents area. After choosing the type, administrators can then select the corresponding plan, title, or position assignment, as shown in the following:

This feature is particularly useful when administrators have a variety of plan documents within a sales plan, and would prefer to have document templates designed around a title or position.

Note: This feature is available to all administrators, by default, independent of whether or not they are using Xactly eDocs & Approvals.

Team Overview Pod Drill Down – View All Members on a Team

Currently, the Team Overview pod allows sales managers to see an overview of their direct team in Incent. Managers can also drill down for more details, traversing through teams one at a time to view further down the hierarchy.

To reduce the time required to review all team members and provide more flexible reporting, Xactly Incent 2016-12 enhances the pod to provide the option for managers to see all team members at once. This feature is available by default for all managers currently using the Team Overview pod.

Note: For administrators using PPA, this feature will be coming in a future release.

Additional End User Languages

Xactly Incent 2016-12 adds Italian (Italy), Portuguese (Brazil), and Chinese (Simplified) to the list of supported languages to improve the end user experience. Administrators can activate these new languages for their business using the BUSINESS_LANGUAGES_ACTIVE preference in the Setup > Preferences area.

Administrators can further customize labels in these new supported languages using the Translation Workbench. Similarly, administrators can now offer Italian, Portuguese, and Chinese versions of plan documents.

New Proration Fields

Xactly Incent 2016-12 adds prorated salary and prorated personal target fields to the Person record, in preparation for a future enhancement to Incent. For this release, the fields are automatically populated with values from the associated salary and personal target fields. In addition, the new fields are available in the person upload template, and are similarly available in reports and formulas.

Incent for Android – Native Mobile App in Beta

The December release features the start of the beta program for Xactly Incent for Android.  Xactly Incent for Android allows payees to view their sales dashboards and Incentive Statement. Admins also have the ability to impersonate payees to view their mobile experience.

Similar to the Xactly Incent for iOS native app, the Android app will be free to download, and beneficial for all sales reps, managers and payees.
