Xactly Incent 2017-02 New Features
This article describes the new features available in Xactly Incent 2017-02, which include:
- Support for Prorated Salary and Personal Targets
- Ability to Specify Person Version Reason
- XLSX Uploads for Exchange Rates
- Pay Curves with Percent to Goal Rule (Early Release to Sandbox on Request)
Support for Prorated Salary and Personal Targets
Organizations regularly hire new employees and change pay and incentives in between the start and end of periods. However, salaries and personal target incentives are typically defined as annual values.
To ensure correct compensation for your employees, Xactly Incent 2017-02 includes optional settings (in the Setup > Customize > Proration area) that administrators can use to specify whether Incent should instead use prorated salaries and personal targets.

The following becomes available when you use prorated salaries and personal targets:
- Person records include Prorated Salary and Prorated Personal Target fields
- Formula data objects include options for prorated values: Salary_Prorated and PersonalTarget_Prorated
- Rule conditions include options for prorated values: Salary_Prorated and PersonalTarget_Prorated
- Administrators can customize Plan Summary, Incentive Statement, and Incentive Details reports to display the prorated salary and prorated personal targets
When these fields are specified, Xactly calculates attainment values using the prorated figures, offering administrators greater flexibility in tracking and reporting.
Ability to Specify Person Version Reason
Xactly Incent 2017-02 updates Incent’s person versioning capability, allowing administrators to add person version reasons (and subreasons) when setting up the application.

Administrators can then use these reasons to quickly identify specific person versions. These versions are also available for use in conditions and reporting.
XLSX Uploads for Exchange Rates
Xactly Incent 2017-02 includes a new Microsoft XLSX-format upload template in the Setup > Exchange Rates area. The XLSX template improves the admin user experience by offering enhanced support of special characters, date formatting, and various other usability updates. The new templates are available immediately for download directly from within the Incent UI.

Pay Curves with Percent to Goal Rule (Early Release to Sandbox on Request)
Xactly Incent 2017-02 adds pay curves with a Percent To Goal Commission rule, allowing administrators to create plans that pay on the relationship between a person’s quota attainment and their personal target. These features, which are designed to work together, can be included alongside any other rules that have been configured.

Administrators begin by setting up a pay curve with tiers defining the percentage of a personal target that can be achieved within an attainment range.

Administrators can then use this pay curve definition with the new Percent To Goal Commission rule, adding conditions and associating it with the correct quota.
